Just the Ticket

As the beatification of Pope John Paul II draws closer the VATICAN have issued an official statement warning visitors to beware of scalpers promising to procure tickets for the event. The last few years has seen a serge in tour operators and hotels selling or offering "seats" to various religious events in an attempt to entice people onto their Vatican tours. While this abuse in normally resigned to the weekly Papal Audience, with an estimate of around one million people all hoping to attend the mass in St Peter's square on the 2ND MAY the stakes will be high and the touts out. It is still unclear at this time how the Vatican plan to organize the seating arrangement for the day but they have said they will not be issuing any tickets for the the ceremony as a way of counting the problem.
